Looking at the wiring diagram the only 2 contenders I could see with similar coloured wires are an ignition module or a dim dip headlight module.

Are there no markings whatsoever?

Do the terminals bear any relation to this?

Do I have one of those on mine? I didn't know these had dim dip. (Mind you, the lights are so pathetic that it would be hard to spot.)

Mine has it - depends on the year - it was a legal requirement in the late 80s but was dropped after a few years.

Test: put your sidelights on. The ickle bulbs light up as normal.
Start car - do dip bulbs come on at lower light level?
Move switch up to normal "dip beam" position - do headlamps go brighter?

If the answer to both questions is "yes" then you've got one.

If no, then you haven't (or you might have, but it's not working).
